It was completely unexpected.
Linda went to see her doctor for a routine screening in 2004. So when he called her afterward and gave her a choice of coming to his office or talking on the phone, she didn’t think twice about hearing the results right then and there.
“We found cancer,” the doctor told her. He then told her he’d already gone ahead and scheduled her for a complete hysterectomy (TAH) in a few days.
Linda was so shocked, she was in disbelief. This couldn’t be happening to her. But it was.
After her surgery, her four sons were her lifesavers. They read to her, made her laugh, and encouraged her to get out of bed and walk again.
Shortly after recovering from her surgery, Linda discovered The Truth About Cancer website. That’s where she finally discovered the answers she was looking for… And found hope for a healthy future.
Thanks to everything she learned through TTAC, Linda overhauled her lifestyle – changing her diet, exercise habits, and adopting an attitude of gratitude.
Watch the video above to find out how her story has unfolded… 14 years after her diagnosis.
