The absolute best way to prevent, treat, and beat cancer is through nutrition. Unfortunately, finding the right information can be hard. The agricultural industry is doing its best to confuse us with tricky labels and misleading science.
Did you know that over 50% of cancer deaths are preventable? With the right diet, you can drastically reduce your cancer risk – and even help your body heal from most diseases. The medical mafia wants you to believe that drugs are the only way to fight disease and illness. The truth is that there’s very little money to be made in natural treatments. The standard American diet (SAD) is loaded with sugar, toxins, and processed, fake foods.
Each month, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite anti-cancer recipes. These dishes aren’t just good; They’re good FOR you!
Many people enjoy starting their day with lemon water, a common detox practice. It is important to keep your body cleansed and in good working order but try this new twist for the start of the day. Enjoy a detox tea to help move toxins out of your body and keep the flu away. Licorice root, fennel, ginger, and turmeric are powerful antiviral, cleansing substances. The addition of mint, coriander, and cinnamon contributes immune system support and additional antioxidants. The Senna works as a natural laxative, helping to purge toxins and food waste from the body.
Ginger has long been used in various forms of both traditional and alternative medicine. It is popular with cleansing programs as it stimulates digestion, circulation, and sweating, flushing toxins from the colon, liver, and other organs. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Ginger also helps reduce oxidative stress, supporting the immune system against the common cold and flu.
Licorice root has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries, offering antiviral, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory activities. It is soothing to the mucous membranes of the digestive tract, helping to support and repair the protective lining of the stomach and intestines, and maintaining those barriers against excess stomach acid.
Licorice root can increase blood pressure if taken continuously, therefore it is best to take it only for a few weeks and then take a break for a few weeks and limit it to two-three cups per day. Anyone with kidney issues should not consume it unless directed by their doctor.
Mint soothes the stomach and promotes digestion. The mere aroma is enough to activate the salivary glands, which then secrete digestive enzymes, thereby enhancing digestion. Mint increases hydrochloric acid levels in the stomach and calms intestinal spasms, which helps reduce toxins inside the intestinal tract. The vitamin C, potassium, and B vitamins in mint support immune function and fight against microbes. The strong aroma is also helpful for clearing up congestion of the nose, throat, and lungs, making this tea ideal if you do succumb to the flu.
Nothing warms the soul during the winter like a comforting pizza. Yet, most pizzas are health-hazards. Try a new twist with this eye-catching, gluten-free, dairy-free, anticancer, health-promoting recipe. Two hours may seem like a long time to spend making a pizza, but you can cut the time in half by roasting beets the day before for another recipe and saving one for your pizza lunch or dinner the next day. You can easily double this recipe to enjoy with friends!
Beets contain powerful phytonutrients and antioxidants that offer anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting, anticancer, and cardiovascular benefits. In particular, beets help reduce blood pressure, avert oxidative stress, and inhibit cancer from developing. Studies also show that beets enhance athletic performance.
Pomegranate seeds– the antioxidants in pomegranate help rejuvenate liver cells and reduce oxidative stress, playing a helpful role, especially for those with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Microgreens, sprouts, and mature broccoli- It is well known that cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, kale, and arugula in mature or sprout form contain powerful anticancer, anti-inflammatory compounds. The phytonutrients in crucifers kill off cancer cells, including cancer stem cells, which are the cells responsible for metastases.
Aloo Gobi is a classic Indian dish made with potatoes (aloo) and cauliflower (gobi) that happens to be a super-powered Ayurvedic detox dish. These humble vegetables may not sound like much, but they are loaded with antioxidants that protect cells from harmful free radicals and inflammation and which help your body metabolize toxins.
Eating Ayurvedically makes you feel nourished and energized and helps digestive enzymes inside your stomach break down the food you eat into nutrients your body can utilize. Once broken down, the nutrients are absorbed into the blood and feed vital organs. Ayurveda never forgets that good health depends on good digestion.
The cauliflower and potatoes in this dish are the perfect opportunity to incorporate the health-promoting, detoxifying flavors of ginger, garlic, onions, turmeric, cumin, and other spices.
Cauliflower contains carotenoid and flavonoid antioxidants which have anti-cancer effects and may reduce the risk of several other illnesses, including heart disease. One extensively studied antioxidant is sulforaphane, which has been found to suppress cancer growth and development and may reduce the risk of heart disease. Research also shows that cruciferous vegetables such as cauliflower support detoxification as they contain glucosinolates and sulfur that filter and detoxify the blood and escort toxins and heavy metals out of the body. Not only that; cauliflower is packed with vitamins C, K and B6, choline, fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.
The high content of antioxidants and carotenoids in potatoes is not widely appreciated. In particular, potatoes are rich in lutein and zeaxanthin which have been found to protect against age-related macular degeneration and cataract formation. These compounds are present in the flesh of all potatoes. Potatoes are also abundant in amino acids that inhibit viral growth.
Fenugreek, traditionally used to improve digestive and menopausal symptoms, has been found to be selectively toxic to cancer cells but leaves healthy cells alone. It also has anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and antioxidant properties. Studies show that turmeric (curcumin) has significant cancer-preventive qualities, especially when paired with the naturally occurring substance phenethyl isothiocyanate (PEITC), found abundantly in cruciferous veggies such as cauliflower. Curcumin is also one of the most potent anti-inflammatory natural substances known. Mustard seeds, which are actually in the brassica family (cruciferous), offer anticancer and anti-inflammatory support. Coriander seeds support healthy blood glucose and cholesterol levels.

omg thank you lovely lady.
any help lung nodule ?
Greetings, I am a cancer survivor of 11 years. I totally agree with the idea that you can cure cancer by changing your diet. Based on what my Dr. said, the SAD is what has lead America to be the country with the highest cancer rate. I have a couple is issues with your recipes. First there is a lot of fruit in them. Cancer loves sugar, fruit has tons of sugar. Which also leads to the use of maple syrup and honey?? Because it is a “natural sugar” doesn’t make it good for you.
I have not seen any mention of the benefits of fasting. Fasting allows your body to go into autophagy. This is where your body repairs itself on a cellular level. There are actual testimonies where people cured themselves of terminal cancer with prolonged fasting.
Lastly, I believe your recipes are too fancy. Too many ingredients. The majority of people who have cancer are middle class and can’t afford all the spices and exotic herbs. While it looks fancy, I think you are loosing a large base of followers. Just my opinion. Be well.
Just starting to follow your work. I caught my triple negative tumor at 0.6 cm and the ER+ tumor at 2.3 cm without lumph involvement but they are recommending chemo and radiation after surgery.
I am taking the positive route with high dose Vit C IVs and Mistletoe injections along with a box of supplements. I am also eating the cruciferous veggies that I rarely ate before.
I started with a 7-day guided juice fast that was full of wheatgrass, carrot juice, cucumber, celery, basil, etc, etc.
I hope I am doing what is right for my body and will be enough to help my body clean itself. I would like to do more fasting, but i get sick if I take the supplements on an empty stomach.
Thanks for your site,
Shawna
