Are monsters real? Let’s consider a few various modern definitions:
One who deviates from normal or acceptable behavior or character – an immoral monster (Mirriam-Webster)
A threatening force, the same monster — Destiny … that rolls every civilization to doom (W. L. Sullivan)
Something monstrous – especially : a person of unnatural or extreme ugliness, deformity, wickedness, or cruelty. Ex: His father was a monster who beat his children for no reason. (Mirriam-Webster)
Let’s consider these definitions as we recount some recent, disturbing discoveries.
Last week, thousands of children were laid to rest in a cemetery in South Bend, Indiana. These children did not die from war, disease, or some kind of natural disaster – they were executed.
In late 2019, authorities reported that the remains of 2,411 murdered babies were found in the garage of a deceased physician. After he passed away in September of 2019, Dr. Ulrich Klopfer’s family discovered more than 70 boxes in his garage containing the remains. A month later, they found more than 150 more corpses in the trunk of the doctor’s Mercedes Benz.
Dr. Klopfer was an infamous abortion doctor operating several clinics in South Bend, Gary, and Fort Wayne, Indiana. Over the course of several decades, the physician performed tens of thousands of abortions, some “legal” and some not. And he performed them with brutal efficiency.
While working in Chicago in the 1970s, he would compete with a fellow abortionist, Dr Ming Kow Hah, to see who could achieve the higher tally. The two rivals in this grotesque contest would ask clinic staff how many patients the other had operated on that day.
A former nurse recalled:
Klopfer would be having a cup of coffee and be on his last sip when he’d jump up and say, “I’d better get going or Hah will have the whole recovery room full.”
This macabre obsession with speed and efficiency made him one of the most prolific abortion doctors in the world. Allen County Right to Life (a pro-life organization) moved its headquarters next to his Fort Wayne clinic. But Klopfer continued to perform abortions in Indiana, despite the state’s reputation for having some of the country’s toughest restrictions on the procedure.
Protests outside of his Indiana clinics took place on a weekly basis, but to little avail. Dr. Ulrich Klopfer took the lives of more children than anyone could have believed. The boxes in his garage – each filled with promising lives that had been stolen – were stacked floor to ceiling at the end.
Although he would often cite instances of rape or abuse as excuses for his career in murder, testimony revealed that Dr. Klopfer had failed to report serious crimes, performing his abortions and then sending victims back into harm’s way. Once he performed an abortion on a 10-year-old girl who had been raped by her uncle. The parents knew about the abuse but refused to press charges. Klopfer decided not to inform the police and send her back into the abusive situation.
It eventually cost him his medical license.
And his methods were far from groundbreaking. In fact, was essentially using the same abortion and sedation procedures from the 1970s and 1980s throughout his career. In a 2016 hearing with the Indiana Medical Licensing Board, it was discovered that he often refused to give his patients pain medication unless they could afford to pay extra.
Board member Rebecca Moredock-Mueller described Klopfer as having a nonchalant attitude and lacked sound medical judgment. “The thing that bothered me most was his professional incompetence,” she said.
As we mourn these children who have finally been laid to rest, it’s important to see the bigger picture here. Most media coverage has focused on how bizarre it was for Dr. Klopfer to keep these bodies in his garage and car. But no one is focusing on the fact that one man made it his life’s mission to take the lives of those who can’t yet speak for themselves.
There are some who have compared Klopfer’s systemic execution of babies to the genocide performed by the Nazi regime. And while that comparison is often misused, it may not be that far off when it comes to this doctor.
Ulrich Klopfer was actually born in Nazi Germany, surviving the devastating firebomb attacks of 1945 which claimed the lives of 25,000 Germans. This was something he talked about often and may have been an underlying reason for his obsession with exterminating young American lives.
When anti-abortion physician Geoffrey Cly met Klopfer in 2008 to discuss concerns that Klopfer’s procedures were endangering patients’ health, Klopfer immediately brought up the 1945 raids on Dresden, in which some 25,000 people died. “How is the suffering from the bombing by the Americans in Dresden any different than the suffering of women by unwanted babies?” Cly recalled Klopfer saying.
Cly added:
I thought his abortions, how he kept the fetuses, might be unconscious revenge for the bombings.
Klopfer was known as combative, engaging in physical and verbal altercations with protesters. He even suggested that the police pour acid in their eyes. He was a calculated maniac, obsessed with death and angry about his childhood. His view of abortion as a competition with other doctors should have sent up some red flags.
But it didn’t.
At TTAC, we’ve not really talked about abortion before. It’s an extremely polarizing subject that many publications avoid altogether for fear of losing their audience.
But this is important, and here’s why:
We are against anything that kills or injures innocent lives. That includes high dose chemotherapy, untested drugs, toxic herbicides, and abortion. Laws across the globe have become more and more relaxed regarding abortions, and this is the result. Evil men who make it their life’s mission to kill.
In fact, just days ago, according to National Review:
By a vote of 53 – 44, the Senate has failed to pass the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would have required doctors to provide medical care to infants born alive after an atempted abortion procedure. The bill – sponsored by Senator Ben Sasse (R, Neb.) and cosponsored by 49 of his fellow Republican senators – needed 60 votes to overcome the legislative filibuster.
How far down the slippery slope have we gone in killing babies? So it is against the law to force someone to save a born alive baby’s life?
The fact that these babies are often unable to sustain life on their own yet should be even more reason to protect them. How many among us have medical issues that require life-saving intervention? Should they also be put to death at the whims of their caregivers? Should the most vulnerable among us be tossed out with the garbage?
From news accounts, the nation’s shock and outrage seemed to be over the strange hoarding of these remains throughout the years rather than the murders which took place.
Standing in the Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend and presiding over the burial ceremony, Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill said:
The shocking discovery (of the remains) was horrifying to anyone with normal sensibilities. Regrettably, there is no shortage of depravity in our world today, including due regard for the most vulnerable among us.
Mass burial of aborted human beings has occurred before. In the 1980s, about 16,500 were buried at a Los Angeles cemetery after being discovered in a cargo container repossessed from a medical laboratory operator’s home. Out in California, a headstone reads: “In memory of the 16,500 precious unborn, buried here, Oct. 6, 1985.”
It is a sick and depraved legacy that we are leaving behind for future generations – or at least the ones we don’t kill before birth. Each one of us should be disgusted by this story. But our disgust shouldn’t just be about the offensive way these bodies were saved and hoarded. We should be disgusted that 2,411 human beings were killed.
All of the remains found in Klopfers garage belonged to babies aborted between 2000 and 2003. These children would be between 17 and 20 now. They would be graduating high school, beginning college, or starting their careers. Perhaps even starting families of their own. I have children this age right now. There is so much promise ahead for them and my heart breaks for the children who never had that chance.
These murdered babies, once discovered, were given the respect and dignity of a proper burial and memorial service. Immediately after the discovery, Congress introduced the Dignity for Aborted Children Act, which would require the proper burial of all aborted children nationwide.
So here’s my question…
If we acknowledge the importance of treating these babies with dignity and respect in death, why can’t we give them the same dignity and respect in life?
Since 1973, over 61 million human lives have been killed by abortion in America. Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill described the hoarding of 2,411 human remains as “horrifying to anyone with normal sensibilities.” The murder of 2,411 children is horrifying. The murder of 61 million children is horrifying. The murder of even one innocent life is horrifying.
Monsters do exist, but they aren’t hiding under the bed or in your closet. They’re right out in the open.

No matter what one’s stance on abortion, by any standard this was truly monstrous.
In a reasonable society where the pedigree of doctor doesn’t all too often confer unimpeachable status this would have been scrutinized long ago. How can such things be allowed to happen for decades uncontested?
BECAUSE THIS WORLD IS RULED BY SATAN THE DEVIL,and those who worship him. He hates families ,trying to destroy children anyway he can. He also hates women ,making them believe that having an abortion can make their life better. Life is precious, and a gift from GOD. Satan knows this and will try to convince the world otherwise. He is seeking to devour anyone, because he knows his time is short. We are living in the end times.(2 timothy 3:1-5),and Satan knows he is no match for the truth from GOD. Hitler was a monster who swore to destroy true Christians. Instead he was destroyed. SATAN IS WELL AWARE OF THIS . And wants to disrupt the beliefs of true Christians . He is the villian who rules this world. Dont be misled… Armaggedon is close !!
Thank you, Charlene and Ty. God richly bless you and keep you safe. Looking forward to meeting you in Gid’s Kingdom
Great article, I agree with you 100%. However, an important factor you failed to address is the root of the problem. This doctor is only the symptom of the abortion issue. If this doctor stop doing abortions, another one would take his place.
The real root of the problem is the people asking for an abortion. If there was not a demand for this service, none would be preformed.
The real issue is the moral decline in our society. Many Parents are failing to instill Christian values and the high value of human life in our children. Many children when they become adults have adopted the me-first value. Whatever is best for me and have rejected any moral values.
Please talk about what we need to do to eliminate this problem. We need to ask ourselves, How can we help our child, our friends, our co-workers adopt the Bible based view of abortion?
Not by force, but by persuasion. By studying the Bible with them. By getting them to adopt and live by the Christian values. This is not easy, but really the only effective method to address the root cause. In our congregation, that’s what we do week by week, door by door. Look for people dispose to listen to the word of God.
Yes, we need to be outraged with this Doctor and the way he used his life, but more importantly, we need to talk about what we can do to reduce the need for this type of person. Where we have failed this unborn child. What are we doing to raise the moral values in our communities?
That’s the question I want to hear. What can we do?
These 2 psychotic physicians should never have been given a license to practice medicine. Disgusting and completely insanely evil!
It’s truly shocking! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us.

Your article about the aborted babies is spot-on. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your feedback, Carron. We appreciate hearing from you.
First of all, he did what he was paid to do, his job. Also, he didn’t act Alone. Where is his staff in all of this??! Though disturbing beyond belief and while not disposing of the bodies properly, If you are going to call him out for being a monster, also call out all the women who walked in off the streets of their own free will. They personally had their unborn children carved out of their bodies. They are also monsters. They were not all cases of hostage situations forced to abort their babies. They had their reasons and so call them monsters, call them accomplices or accessories to murder for not protecting their unborn. Get real!!!
Keeping fetus bodies in that manner is atrocious. And illegal abortion is extremely dangerous to the mother. I fully believe in legal abortion done early and safely. My grandma had a back room abortion in the 1930’s when she had to leave her husband and found she was pregnant again. She was lucky to live through the horrific ordeal with a coat hanger. My mother did not want children and tried to abort me herself and reminded me that it failed. I often wish she didn’t fail. How she treated my brother and me left deep scars that have lasted 60+ years now. My brother has had serious emotional problems because of it, I lived with deep depression as far back as I can remember. It has affected every facet of our lives. Abortion was illegal back then. Spare a person from a life of hell with a mother that didn’t want them or couldn’t keep them, and save a women’s life with a safe way to end a pregnancy when she must. No one has a right to force a woman to raise a child when she cannot do it. Keep abortion legal and safe and humane.
Thank you for sharing this information.
Thank you so much for your support of us, Morris.
I do not have the exact verbiage in front of me – but to paraphrase the late President Ronald Reagan – “I have noticed that of all the people that are “pro-abortion”, 100% of them were born alive!”.
Ty, Charlene,
You do amazing things to help the people of this world, I followed you for years, TTAC, TTAV..
But it’s every woman’s right to control her body.
Those women had a reason to not want to carry their child to full term. Rape, mental health issues, physical health issues.
He helped them when no one else would, for whatever reason!
Maybe it should have been done differently?
Definitely he shouldn’t have kept the remains the way he did, but maybe he was open to hate and condemnation for helping them….
There are many reasons women need to abort their babies, it’s never easy and will be with them forever!
Why should a 10 year old child raped by someone be forced to have the child? What kind of life would either have?
The mother hating the child? The child not getting the love and nurture it needs? That’s a loose loose scenario, damaging them both for the rest of their lives.
And often adoption is not an option, especially in a child abuse situation.
But there are many other reasons women need to be able to choose.
Let us also talk about the women and children who believed they were in need of an abortion.
Women have always been able to perfor an abortion with knitting needles, coat hangers and have been helped by family members with finding someone to do it that is why the women’s movement wanted abortions made available in hospitals.
We need to focus on the women and children and help them feel confident to ensure the love, llife and safety of their baby. Before we had homes where women and children having a baby were used as slaves, etc. I think we could have homes where the mothers and babies are cared for and loved.
I know of no woman who have had an abortion who are affected by this in a negative manner for the rest of their lives. This is why abortiions are allowed instead of homes of love. There is a need to keep women and men from being able to love themselves and be the best that they can be. Hence the burning of woman as witches for 400 years, woman being owned by their husbands, women being denied the vote [non human], denied the ability to own property, why there is no real help for the children suffering from physical and sexual trauma, etc., etc.
Atrocious and unacceptable. But don’t conflagrate this incredible exception with abortion clinics generally, which are as “humane” as can be under the circumstances. Yes, polarizing issue. Every year in US, pro choice gains ground on pro-life, is now the majority and is going the way the rest of the world is already gone – overwhelmingly pro-choice. And time and again we hear the stories from abortion clinic retirees saying how some of the most vocal pro-life critics, including Dr.s, politicians and front line activists actually utilize abortion services!!!!!!!!!!!! The craziest stories are pro-life activists who got abortions from the very clinic they got abortion! Some swearing at Dr’s even during procedure, then back to protesting the clinic!! If we extrapolate from this, the true % of people who would use abortion services if faced with the choice, is probably closer to 90%. Young people are almost double more likely to say they are pro-choice, so another generation or two there will be no struggle here. I am not saying it does not tug my heart, make me pause and want dearly to work on solutions so pregnancy is avoided or halted immediately. But this battle is basically over and I would love to see us, this world’s leading Christian country, taking on the issues that would move us to living more like Christ: exalting no to guns, war, materialism, individualism, inequality, and destruction of cultures and the planet.
Thank you for your article about the bodies of 2411 aborted babies. Not only are we plagued with ever worsening physical sickness in our country, but we are equally plagued by moral sickness. Abortion is a terrible crime, but so is failure to treat asylum seekers at our borders as human beings, and reducing air and water standards that we need to live, so some can make more money. I add pulling out of the Paris Climate agreement that at least could offer some possibility of truly dealing with our climate crisis.. How about allowing toxic chemicals to cover our food, again for the sake of money making in preference to human life and health? And speaking of toxic, it is hard to ignore the toxic denigration of good people who displease our monarch.
Thank you for speaking up about the horror of abortion.
The doctors’ actions in keeping the fetuses was grotesque. But, the decision has to come down to the woman who, for many possible reasons, feels that she cannot deliver and raise a child.
Thank you for being brave enough to address all the issues. May God bless you!
Thank you for discussing this subject, few are willing to! I loved how you turned the article into a dignity of the life the these humans who were not allowed to become the gift they are, rather than focusing on the disturbing realization of the way the remains were kept.
I do appreciate the way you approach the dignity of life in all aspects and the lies we have been told all these years.
Thank you for the work you do.
We are so glad that came across. That was our focus, the rights of these lives that never reached their potential and our love for humanity. Thank you so much for your comment, Lisa.
Why is not here at least 1 Sentence about Families of these Human Beings? It was Performed with Concents of their Families!
It is disgusting how the doctor was treating the babies. I found this article very hard to read.
We completely understand, Silvia. This is an incredibly difficult topic. It was upsetting to us all. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts.
