Bone broth has widely been referred to as “nature’s multivitamin”… and for good reason. It makes for a hearty, nutritious, and cancer-killing soup that has been a kitchen staple for hundreds of years. Yet it has notably gained popularity with this generation’s cooks and health & fitness enthusiasts.
And why is that? Perhaps because it’s PACKED with 19 amino acids, nutrients like glucosamine, minerals, electrolytes, and collagen.

Another incredible benefit of bone broth is the healthy gut boost it provides… which, as we now know, supports about 80% of the immune system.
The collagen/gelatin and the amino acids proline, glutamine, and arginine in traditionally-made bone broths help seal the openings in the gut lining and promote gut integrity.

Watercress, cauliflower, onion, and garlic help the liver to produce more glutathione. Often referred to as the “master antioxidant,” glutathione is a combination of three simple building blocks of protein or amino acids − cysteine, glycine, and glutamine.
Watercress is also a great source of omega-3s and has been shown to reduce chronic inflammation. This cancer-busting watercress soup recipe is a great dish for the whole family!

Tracey says
How do I cook the bones if I don’t have a pressure cooker please, thank you
Hi Tracey –
Thanks for your comment.
You could also leave your bones to cook on low heat for 10-20 hours. You could also do an online search to see which amount of time works best for you. Some people cook their bone broth for up to 72 hours. 🙂
Blessings and love!

I am allergic to beef and pork. I sometimes make chicken (occasionally turkey) bone broth. Sometimes I purchase frozen at a health food store. Would these broths work also?
Hi there –
Hope you’re doing well.
As long as the chicken is organic, free-range, and/or grass-fed, it can be a great substitution to use chicken bones. 🙂
Blessings and love!
Thank you! I aim at Organic< free-range and/or grass fed! I'll continue to make it and try your recipe also!
Wonderful to hear!
Wishing you many blessings and love! ❤️
If substituting brone broth powder how does that change the recipe?
Whenever I made soup with vegetables, I use vegetable broth because too me bone broth is more for pasatelli, imperial soup, and tortellini.
