The absolute best way to prevent, treat, and beat cancer is through nutrition. Unfortunately, finding the right information can be hard. The agricultural industry is doing its best to confuse us with tricky labels and misleading science.
Did you know that over 50% of cancer deaths are preventable? With the right diet, you can drastically reduce your cancer risk – and even help your body heal from most diseases. The medical mafia wants you to believe that drugs are the only way to fight disease and illness. The truth is that there’s very little money to be made in natural treatments. The standard American diet (SAD) is loaded with sugar, toxins, and processed, fake foods.
Each month, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite anti-cancer recipes. These dishes aren’t just good; They’re good FOR you!
As summer finally arrives, this delicious nutrient-packed breakfast is bound to give you all the tropical feels. It can be served cold or warm and is perfect for those who need breakfast, or any meal, on the go.
Mango is a stone fruit mainly grown in warm climate areas. They are an excellent source of vitamin A and vitamin C. A 2019 study in Antioxidants (Basel) found that mango fruit has shown to be a powerful free radical scavenger and is anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and cancer preventive. Mango has also exhibited cytotoxic activity towards many different tumor models, such as blood, lung, breast, colon, and prostate cancer cells.
Pineapple has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for a variety of illnesses. Bromelain in the pineapple is what many attribute to the pineapple’s numerous health benefits. A 2016 article in Biomedical Reports stated that bromelain demonstrates anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and anti-neoplastic effects. The article also stated that experimental evidence clearly demonstrated that bromelain exhibits antitumor effects and tumor growth inhibition.
This meal, or side dish, is so unbelievably simple and easy to make that you will think you’re missing. However, the simple flavors of fresh basil, mozzarella, and tomatoes never disappoint. This is a perfect light meal for those warmer days in the sun.
Fresh basil is the key component to why these flavors work so well together. Basil is a part of the Lamiaceae family and is native to the tropical regions of Asia and Africa. A 2020 study in Journal of Oleo Science found that sweet basil shows strong antioxidant activity. Also, multiple phenolic components participate in the anti-inflammatory effects.
While all members of the nightshade family should be enjoyed in moderation, tomatoes are full of antioxidants. Antioxidants are known to help neutralize harmful free radicals. Tomatoes are an excellent source of vitamin C, A, and K. A 2013 study in Journal of Nutritional Science and Vitaminology stated that their research showed that tomatoes may play a role in the prevention of prostate cancer.
These homemade spicy spring rolls are a fun way to add some kick to your summer menu. Making spring roll wrappers at home is possible and you will wow your family or guests when you tell them they’re made from scratch!
The source of the heat in these spring rolls is the delicious jalapenos. Jalapenos are rich in vitamin C, A, and potassium. They also contain a natural compound called capsaicin. Capsaicin is what gives the jalapenos their spicy kick and is also attributed to many health benefits.
A 2016 article in Anticancer Research stated that capsaicin exhibited strong anticancer activity. It does this by targeting multiple signaling pathways. Capsaicin stimulates the anti-tumorigenic/tumor-suppressive signaling pathways, which inhibits tumor promoters.
A 2013 study in African Health Studies found that capsaicin possessed a dose-dependent anti-inflammatory effect. The study also stated that capsaicin may present an alternative pain relieving and anti-inflammatory agent.
