She proceeded to explain that the office nutritionist puts all her patients on a low-sugar diet because sugar feeds cancer, it is a poison and paralyzes the cells from doing their job. So, in general, if you want an anticancer diet you should eat vegetables and fruits that are low in sugar. The list of foods to avoid includes all sugar products and foods that turn into sugar including, but not limited to: pasta, rice, bread, and potatoes.
