Video Transcript: Is There a Link Between Obesity and Cancer?
Ty Bollinger: Before we started the interview you started to talk about some statistics, really alarming statistics about cancer. Talk about the amount of cancers that are actually caused by toxicity versus genetic. Can you share some of those statistics?
Dr. Fisher: Absolutely. Anyone who looks at the research will realize that we’re looking at a high incidence of cancer right now. They just changed the prediction for that. It was at North American males 50% will have an incidence and 24% will succumb to it. And basically they just changed that, so in the next five years 57% more incidence will occur. When you start to look at some other numbers – 18% of all cancers are caused by infection. No one talks about that.
Ty Bollinger: Eighteen percent?
Dr. Fisher: Eighteen percent. 23% of all cancers are related to obesity. No one ever talks about that because obesity is running amok right now. This year overweight and obesity in the U.S. alone will hit 75% with 41% being obese. And they’ve already doctored the numbers, the body mass index, for declaration of that.
Then we look at the other environmental factors and that’s—they lump that into 41% of all cancers are due to environmental factors. So then we’re looking at an unknown 18%, and this 18% that we’re looking at, it could be genetics.
Genetics is small, 5 to 10 percent. Just other factors, whether it’s an ambient environmental radiation, non-ionizing, unlikely it’s ionizing. But that can all be lumped in there into these same factors.
Ty Bollinger: Right. So when you mention obesity, how would obesity impact cancer? Why would there be a link between obesity and cancer? Before you answer that, by the way, we just got back from some interviews in Latvia, in Europe. In Riga, Latvia.
There wasn’t an obese person in the country that we saw. Literally, in four days I saw two obese women and two obese men. And they were both from either England or the U.S. But the people there, because of their diet, they eat farm-to-table. No obesity.
Dr. Fisher: I have a program rationale to stop obesity now and that’s something else just trying to give the information for people to that. It’s basically what you’re consuming with obesity. And obesity changes physiological function. The things that we see, we see—obese people are they diabetics? Sure, absolutely they are. Obese people, do they have high blood pressure? Sure they do. Obese people, do they have high triglycerides? Yes, and that’s not even getting into any of the less frequent factors about obesity.
So anytime we can change normal – that’s a scary word – physiological function by an onset of symptomatology, obesity, well we don’t know what’s going to happen. We can’t predict that and that’s why traditionally we do such a poor job of dealing with this disorder.
Ty Bollinger: Does the fact that when you’re obese you have a disruption in your hormone balance, could that have anything to do with the link to cancer?
Dr. Fisher: Everything is involved. Absolutely. Do we know? No, we don’t have a lot of answers to the questions. We just know relationships. And right now relationships are good enough because it’s getting to be out of control. And the fact that the relationships are good enough to say, “This, then that,” mechanisms cease to be important.
Maybe at some point we can get to the mechanisms and fine tune it. But the reality is if we know that A does B, let’s try and stop A. If we can stop A, then we can stop B. If there are some other factors involved in the mechanisms, well, we’ll get to them. It may not be soon, but we’ll get to them.
I mean they still sell cigarettes. There was a big case in Quebec where they just won a fifteen billion dollar reward, just in the news today. Because cigarette makers were less concerned about health than money. You might find that as something that you see a little bit of.
Ty Bollinger: Well, we do see that. It’s pervasive in the industry. It’s pervasive in the medical industry. And ironically, 60 years ago you would see ads from doctors that cigarettes were good for your health. Now we know that they cause cancer; we knew back then that they were carcinogenic.
But we see the same thing with our food supply today, don’t we? Look at genetically modified foods that are ubiquitous in North America. Talk about the toxicity of our food and how that might impact our health and cancer.
Dr. Fisher: Well, the liver is the boss of your body. No matter what you think. It’s not your brain, it’s not your heart, it’s not your lungs, it’s your liver. Because the liver carries predominantly the bulk of metabolism in your body.
Everything’s got to go through the liver. So when your liver becomes overworked, overly toxic from all the environmental toxic factors, it shuts down. So your metabolism slows down, or doesn’t work exactly in that manner. And when we’re examining reasons for physiology breaking down – and that’s all it is – it’s proper physiology breaking down.
We can see that it’s absolutely everywhere. And so we don’t even have to realize what the actual factors are because it’s so overwhelming, that we know about the whites. How many people eat white sugar, eat white rice, eat white flour, eat it every day? Well, we know there’s relationships between that and a number of diseases, yet people are still doing it.
So getting the word out in your series, getting the word out is more important than having the actual activities take place. Why? Because it offers them the choice of being compliant or not.
Andy Miles says
I would say that where there is a correlation between obesity and cancer, but obesity is not the cause of cancer, and both obesity, and cancer, have a common cause, which is malnutrition. People living on junk food, have a surfeit of calories but no actual nutrients that enable the body to function healthily, and normally. Also, people who are obese, do not experience sufficient physical exertion to keep their physiology functioning as it should. Cancer is not the only outcome of such malnutrition, but just one of the many. People are killing themselves through their foolish, uneducated, and unhealthy choices.
Its deeper than that..what about the lymphatic system..detoxification, regeneration of cells through fruits 90%/veggies raw 10%and water?
You should re title this to the overweight cause and not the organ that is important as very little is actually about the liver. The liver was the reason i clicked the link and read the article only to be let down.
Thanks for the feedback Ian!
I agree. I didn’t see any information either about keeping the liver healthy, which was promised in the description. I do enjoy the information, but if it is something I have already read, I would like to know that before hand, and not feel like my time was wasted. I don’t even feel comfortable sharing this with my friends then because the link to the article is not quite accurate. It is good information, but I would have shared this if it was about what it said it was about.
What Dr. Fisher tells here is absolutelly true !
Thank you very interesting reading l am always intersted. In learning how to keep well and how to keep our body from ageing also my son have bone cancer and has affected organs the liver so very worrying ..best wishies .
I am in remission from a two year battle with Large B Cell Lymphoma and a 10 centimeter mass on my liver. What I am beginning to realize is I’m falling into my prior lifestyle patterns. I’m still eating processed foods, fast food, pesticide laden produce, too many of the white foods and sugar. And I am now about 30 pounds over my optimal weight, I’ve again become moderately obese. Even knowledge can’t always win against the everyday stresses and distractions of life. I feel I’m slowly losing my self-esteem, and even the care enough to want to stay healthy. It’s almost like I’m falling into a slow suicide mode. I’m a mess.
Stefan – in order for one to change, he needs two things; ability and motivation. It seems you know how to do what you need to do but you have lost your motivation. Who do you love? Do you love yourself? Your are too important to give up!!! Prayers.
I’m a breast cancer survivor of 29years.ive gone through alot!!! I know how important it is to maintance your body. I’m still have health issues but I see my doctors and try to take care of me.
Hi Thelma,
We are so glad that you are with us! Thanks for sharing part of your story with us.
Hi,
I understand there are legal reasons that do not allow Ty or Charlene to say why they decided to withdraw their trust from Organixx.
Nevertheless, the automatic response: “contact Organixx and tell them your inquiries” is not an acceptable or expected response from someone who recommended the products and claims to be worried for others health.
I bought the How to Detox series just after buying the Global Quest Series, less than a month ago. That series still recommends Organixx so I really feel it was just about the money. Why not update the recommendations and then sell the Detox videos? What good are they now if everything recommended there is now questionable? What other options are there to Detox correctly? Please help
Oh, my gosh! I’m in desperate need of affordable, pure EOs, NOW! I was literally going to reorder from them after having found them online several months ago, and thought I’d surely made a good choice after seeing them promoted by TTAC. Now I’m back to square one, and i can’t afford to shoot blind on SSI, or with my health like it is now! I need to know what’s wrong with this company, or find another one that i can afford asap. HELP, PLEASE!
Hello Sandra, and thank you for your comment. Yes, we are no longer endorsing OX products, but we stand behind the natural herbs, compounds, and protocols in the docu-series. The supplements we discuss are available from a variety of vendors. Our good friend Dr. Edward Group offers a number of them on his site here as well: https://tinyurl.com/y4esd5ky.
We hope this helps! Thank you for supporting our mission — we wish you all the best! ❤️
It’s. Important to listen to your body. It will let you know something is going on. Most important is the doctor listening to you.!!! Thank you for your messages you send out.
I have read this all for long time an every word the truth I thank you ever so much

i am concerned that a person who is very strict vegetarian- vegan regime & can lose weight – suddenly the go obese without deviating – but because of some abuse or syndicate or spy . at times like this – there is no vegetarian vegan who can help me or heal me ……so this is a weakness in the natural health world .

My sister is very obese. Me and my brother want to talk with her about this issue but not really sure we’re to start. Our mother died last August 2017 from pancreatic cancer and she was not aware that she had it. What is a starting point and what literature can we point out as facts about this issue.
Hi Terry,
We are sorry to hear about your mother. As for resources, you may want to search for keywords on our website. Best wishes!
Many medical text books in 2008 consulted in a university bookshop, because a friend had ovarian cancer, listed obesity, smoking and other lifestyle associations, so it is extremely inaccurate to use the generalisation, “nobody” talks about….and years ago the association with infection was well known, at least in Australia ( the forgotten and overlooked Southern Hemisphere continent and a very large one at that).
This is interesting but it would be so much more helpful to get information about how to cleanse the liver and support it. Now THAT would be helpful!
Hi Niedra,
We have lots of great articles and resources on detoxing on our website. Here are a few:

Thank you for this info….to make it simple …white sugar, flour, and rice…..and how important the liver is …is very helpful. My dad died of liver cancer at age 65, too young for my book, He ate meat, potatoes and ice cream every day for years. It killed him.
We are so sorry to hear about what happened to your father Mary. We hope our information has been useful to you. Best wishes!
What we need is to have some sort of list of preventative therapies medicines foods in order of importance/effecitiveness ie
most important number 1 exercise
number 2 frankincense and myrrh
number 3 variety in food consumption
number 4 close proximity to greenery
etc etc and then people could have their own remedial medications
Dear Howard,
Since I have had bowelcancer I learned lot from Ty and Charlene about all sorts of things that can help to prevent cancer and have it turn back again.
I saw a lot of people in my practice with obese. Most of them had obese as a result of medication like ant- depressiva.
No high blood pressure, no consumption of refined sugar but stil obese.
After putting them on a way to eat and let them stop artificial sugars aswell they lost Some weight but still stayed obese.
No matter how much they walked and went to the gym, the were obese.
What can we do to help them gaining a healthy weight haring these particulair medication?!?
I realy want to know.
Thank you for answering my question.
I agree totally with all that you have written here
Can you tell us the best way or ways to detox the liver on a daily basis? There are so many products out there.
Hi Paola,
We cannot recommend a specific detox, but here are a few good resources for detoxing:

It is the pancreas health that is key to cancer prevention . The pancreas releases enzymes that will destroy cancer cells that we all harbor inside of our body . When you fast your pancreas organic is more freed up to send out enzymes to seek out and kill cancer cells . Diabetics that are obese and have insulin shots have an impared pancreas function and cancer is greater in diagnosis than the general public . Holistic chef Barry Anderson
Tell us more about the genetic piece.. Our daughter just turn 38 and is stage 4 breast cancer..She always did everything “right” -good nutrition, exercised daily and remains at optimal weight. She even opted for radical measures – double mastectomy and hysterectomy to lessen her risks..yet estrogen feeding and not much has helped. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Hi John,
We are sorry to hear what your daughter is going through. The best advice we can give you is to consult with one of the doctors/experts that we interviewed in our Global Quest Series. Here is a link to get their information: https://thetruthaboutcancer.com/experts-info-sheet/
My family on my mother’s side, the females have been totally wiped out by Breast & Thyroid Cancer.
I AM THE ONLY SURVIVOR!
Mum said she used to take me to the Dr’s as a child, hold me up & say “what am I supposed to do with this? I feed it but nothing happens?” At 6 I had my 1st Polio vaccination… & “I blew up like a balloon!” From that point on I had a weight problem. All my life I’m 67 now. Its never stopped me. I was a make-up artist in late 60’s worked with top designers & Photographers. I had my own millinery business & designed jewellery. I became a singer, travelled half the world etc etc. I was comfortable @180lb thru my 20’s in my 30’s – mid 50’s I was comfortable at 230lbs. However Im the only one “fingers crossed” to have not been troubled by Cancer. I was doing fine still travelling the World Singing & working as an Interior Designer as you can imagine working very hard & active. After 2 successive Concussions I suddenly went down with Diabetis. I knew something was very wrong but despite my bleating. It was not diagnosed for a long time! It has never been properly under control & yet I know type 2 is reversible. I am alone & have struggled to no avail. I HAVE LOST NEARLY 80lb! which I hate!!!😠 2 years ago I looked 50-55 now I look like my grandmother. With this weight loss I have aged horribly, but worse I FEEL 80! I’ve never felt so unwell in my life. I now have such bad neuropathy I wobble all over the place I can’t focus because my body is never still worse when sitting. I’m in so much pain & there is no escape. I really wish everyone had left me alone! Losing all this weight has been disastrous. My entire life is now taken up with damned food never eating anything I want but fussing with what I can. Oh yes & by the way I forgot. I ran & owned several central London fashionable & top notch restaurants. With a freind we opened the very first ALL ORGANIC RESTAURANT. In central London in the 80’s. SO I’ve eaten extremely well most of my life. No junk food! No take aways pizza or junk like that. I was happy. Healthy & fit to work & socialize untill all this Nagging me to not eat fats not eat anything other than Rabbits food. Now I’m miserable, ratty, ugly & housebound & “Woop de Doo” 80lb lighter. I wished I’d never listened to anyone. I feel ill be lucky to get far in to next year I feel so ill. I would still be considered over weight at my present weight but I’m now determined not to lose any more. I’m cold all the time & even on the feather cushioned couch, feel like I’m sitting on my Pelvis! Cos I’ve lost all my muscle. STILL I’M THE ONLY ONE THAT HASNT DIED “YET” OF CANCER?! ❤
Hi. I’m so sorry you’re going through so much and feeling so discouraged..
I’ve also felt very unwell all this year. I’m 61. I’ve been permanently disabled due to a severe spinal injury, 2 failed surgeries and peripheral neuropathies in all limbs and appendages, since I was 29.
I just want to encourage you to maybe have you’re thyroid checked. Sounds like it may be something with thyroid and/ or other hormones. I’ve also changed my diet. I was taking metformin several years ago, but weaned myself after changing diet and lifestyle, and have normal A1C still.
I know changing how we eat isn’t always fun, especially if we don’t feel well for In it.
I’ve got a lump in my throat and have trouble swallowing, and over the past week is broke much worse.
My mom had thyroid cancer and had her thyroid removed decades ago after many, many years with a goiter. So I’m a bid nervous about going to see the doctor tomorrow. I also smoked allot when I was younger, so I’m worried it may not even be thyroid cancer, but worse. I’ve been feeling really sick, dizzy, weak and out of breath all week, too, in addition to my ears feeling blocked and painful, and everything else hurting.
Please don’t give up, and have yourself checked out. You still have allot to offer the world.
I’ll be praying for you.
As promised, I expected to hear about ways to protect the liver yo avoid cancer. So what did I actually get from your interview ? Nothing
Hello Ty and Company, It appears you folks are down at the bottom of causality. Sure the liver is in the middle for sugar and fat burning issues. But when one sees sugar and carbs in the liver stocked up to run three days, one knows there is a lot of hydrogen stores in the liver that are contaminated with Deuterium. Deuterium is well connected to mitochondria dysfunctions that lead directly to cancers. Yeah, being obese is a total indicator for too much sugar/carbs as that causes the insulin spikes that set up fat uptake and retention in cells. Sugar is an indicator, but Deuterium is the inner causal factor for cancer.
Some other correlating factors are: Tthings to notice that indicate some ancient knowledge of deuterium issues
1. When you fast for 3 days—that burns off all the liver stored carbs and tosses out those backlogs of high deuterium that is way high with carbs.
2. Then you start running on keto mode and burning low deuterium fat for energy—-so energy builds and repair mechanism energy starts fixing things.
3. After fasting, Cell water become much more free of deuterium—-as then the wise eat low deuterium foods and water and avoid carbs after fasting.
The high deuterium levels break a number of protective functions in the cells, and then cancer takes over. You analysis here is very weak, as the principle contaminate the wrecks Mito Fctn is Deuterium.
The Word on the health benefits of lower deuterium is getting out, but in the US everyone is going to have to help push the corrupt medical system to get this into popular use and even convert pubic water to less deuterium levels.
We need to label foods and water with deuterium levels and so on, so the aim is abundant health—by basically natural methods:
This finding for the systemic energy production fault of every cell in the body is the key to the elimination of many illnesses and diseases, and needs the upmost recognition.

The last ten years which my mother was alive, she became very obese because she was eating way too much. My father thought that maybe her being too obese did not help the metastasis of breast cancer to other parts of her body. Is what my father is saying true.
